Create the life you want with care and support
Psychotherapy is the opportunity to learn about yourself, and to use this learning to make changes you haven't been able to make before. When we understand ourselves more deeply and honestly, we can change how we relate to ourselves and others, how we handle distressing situations, and how we work toward meaningful accomplishments that are in line with our deepest values.
We've all tried making changes, but often they don't last, and we quickly give up or revert back to older ways of doing things. Yet the old ways might hurt us in some way, or prevent us from feeling fully alive or satisfied. The therapy process that I use is designed to help you make meaningful and lasting change. Our work can help you to become more effective, stronger, and more fulfilled, as you become more of the person you want to be.
I provide individual and couples therapy, to adults of all ages, and for older adolescents. Our work can address with a broad array of challenges that people face, such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, life transitions, creating families, overcoming oppression and trauma. To this work I bring a broad spectrum of experiences in the field of clinical psychology. I have worked in clinical, academic, administrative and research positions. Each of these experiences has yielded a deeper understanding of important issues that my clients address, and our psychotherapy is strengthened by my understanding of the multiple layers and complexities of the issues they face.
It is never too late to break out of old, unsatisfying ways of being and develop a new path. I look forward to helping you create the life you want. You can contact me by phone: (206) 914-1444, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by using my online contact form.
